a&o teams up with USU for new ITSM practice

Partnership to help customers realise greater business value from their IT infrastructure through optimising service delivery and best practice

24th April 2007 a&o today unveils its new partnership agreement with Business Service Management (BSM) software specialist USU and the launch of its IT Service Management (ITSM) practice. The new practice will capitalise on the demand for ITSM solutions from mid-market customers that address critical IT service, performance and compliance challenges and will be headed up by the newly-appointed Business Unit Leader, Simon Orosz.

a&o has recognised an increasing need to provide scaleable ITSM solutions, as validated by European growth forecasts from leading analysts including Gartner , This market is set to become increasingly import as businesses look to align IT with emerging standards such as ISO20000 and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) disciplines. a&o’s new ITSM unit will use USU’s full portfolio of ITSM software tools to map, design, deploy ITSM business strategies and solutions with a view to aligning and optimising IT and business processes, driving out immediate and long term costs, whilst building value and effectiveness.

Leveraging a&o’s 40 years of ‘in-house’ IT service support heritage, Orosz will be responsible for establishing and leading a&o’s new ITSM practice, delivering against an aggressive 5 year growth model which will establish a&o as a leading player in the ITSM space. Simon has over 12 years IT experience in the enterprise sector, recently leading the team which successfully launched Central European eCommerce vendor hybris into the UK market.
