a&o expands UK operations with new appointments

7th September 2007 a&o systems + services UK Ltd., the leading European provider of IT services & support, has appointed new senior personnel as part of its ongoing expansion in the UK. The appointments strengthen the company’s management and client services team, by bringing a range of industry expertise and experience to deliver an enhanced services offering.

Andy Jenner has been appointed as Head of Professional Services, where he will be responsible for leading the Managed Services and Project Services Business Units. In addition, Andy will focus on delivering the highest level of service to a&o’s customer base by introducing industry standard practices.

Ben Mahy joins a&o as Business Consultant within the IT Service Management Unit. Previously Ben headed up the research, development and implementations at a leading solutions house, where he specialised in RFID and data collection. Prior to that, he gained valuable experience in asset management and service desk solutions working at Peregrine Systems and initially, Microsoft.

Finally, Barbara Paterson has been appointed Commercial Manager. With the primary responsibility of planning and directing the commercial elements of the business, Barbara will also help to optimise the processes, commercial terms and trading agreements across the business in line with Group strategy. Barbara has over 16 years of experience having previously worked at several telecoms and technology organisations in addition to several years Thames Water Utilities.
